For health, safety and comfort, The Wharncliffe has provided smokefree accommodation since 2002, please appreciate that we do not allow smoking anywhere on our premises.
Breakfast is served in our spacious dining room; if you come with friends we will make up a table for four otherwise our dining tables seat two. Help yourself to fruit, yogurt, cereals, and juice from the breakfast buffet and whet your appetite for the highly praised Wharncliffe breakfast which is freshly cooked while you wait. Enjoy the taste of dry cure Yorkshire bacon, local free range eggs and other locally grown and sourced produce as you savour your Delicious Yorkshire Breakfast.
There is a comfortable sea view guest lounge, with magazines, books, and also local guides and maps to browse or borrow. In the reception area and bar, there is further local information available, with details of shows, events and attractions in the area.
There is a well stocked licensed bar, which is open until 11 p.m. Guests may enjoy a drink in the bar or in their room.
We have an iron and ironing board available for guests’ use, so you can ensure you look your best for any occasion. If you don’t have a mobile, or even if you do, we have a payphone to enable you to phone home or book a taxi.
Free wireless internet access is available in the public areas and some bedrooms.
