What time is Check in?
You are welcome to check in at any time. It would be helpful to us if you would let us know if you intend to arrive before 9.30 a.m. or after 9.30 p.m.
Do you have parking?
All parking in this vicinity is on street permit parking.
Where do I get a parking permit?
When you check in we provide the appropriate permit for your stay with us.
When can I collect my parking permit?
You are welcome to collect your parking permit at any time. It would be helpful to us if you would let us know if you intend to arrive before 9.30 a.m.
When will my room be available?
Rooms are available from 3 p.m. If you arrive earlier you are welcome to leave your luggage here.
Do we have to go out all day?
We do need access for room service during the morning, but you are welcome to use the sea view guest lounge for a while if you are not going out.
Are you far from town?
A normally fit person will walk to town in 10 minutes or so.
What time is breakfast?
Breakfast is usually served between 8.30 and 9 a.m.
We have to leave early, can we have breakfast earlier?
Nobody should leave without breakfast; however the full range of buffet and cooked breakfast items may not be available.
Do you offer full English breakfast?
We do indeed, and many alternatives.
Do you cater for vegetarians/vegans/special diets?
Our breakfast menu includes many suitable options, if you have special dietary requirements you are welcome to send an e-mail on the contacts page with details.
What time do you lock up in the evenings?
You will receive a front door key on arrival, so you can come and go as you please.
Why do you close the bar at 11 p.m.?
Because we get up early to prepare breakfast, if you are looking for accommodation with an all night bar, then The Wharncliffe is probably not for you.
How late can we arrive?
It would be helpful to us if you would let us know if you intend to arrive after 9.30 p.m.
Can I have a discount?
All discounts are indicated in the Special Offers section, and are designed to encourage longer mid week bookings.
Why don’t you take children?
We find that our guests appreciate, the relaxing environment of The Wharncliffe without children.
It is our Anniversary, can I arrange for flowers in the room?
Of course, just let us know if you would like flowers, chocolates, bubbly or any extra touches. Additional charges will apply.
Can you get theatre/show tickets for us?
Yes we can, subject to availability, please give us advance warning and details. All tickets charged at face value plus any booking fees that may apply.
Do you have an environmental policy?
Yes, we do. We recycle glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles, cans, newspapers, magazines, paper and card. We use low energy lamps. We are committed to reducing our use of paper and conserving energy wherever possible.

Check out time is 10.30 a.m. You are welcome to leave your luggage here to collect later.
