In an elevated position, on Blenheim Terrace, overlooking Scarborough’s North Bay, The Wharncliffe, bed and breakfast, offers a superb location for exploring the historic town. The guest accommodation is ideally suited for the cricket ground, bowls centre, Peasholm Park, and the famous medieval Scarborough Castle, and is also within easy walking distance of the bustling town centre, both beaches and the harbour.
The Wharncliffe sea view rooms boast wonderful panoramic views across North Bay, whilst the guest house town view rooms look out over Scarborough towards South Bay with Olivers Mount in the distance.
By Rail
Places with a direct service to Scarborough include; Huddersfield, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Stalybridge, Warrington, York. Many services connect at York for Scarborough.
There are usually plenty of Taxis at the Railway station, or if you prefer to walk; from Scarborough railway station, cross over the road to the Stephen Joseph Theatre; proceed along Northway, towards the police station. At the traffic lights turn right onto Victoria Road, continue onto Castle Road. Turn left into Blenheim Street then left again into Blenheim Terrace. The Wharncliffe is the third building on the left.
By Bus/Coach
Places with a direct service to Scarborough include; Brecon, Cardiff, Doncaster, Hull, London (Victoria), Merthyr Tidfil, Middlesbrough, Milton Keynes, Newport, Nottingham, Pontypridd. Buses and coaches often stop at the railway station, (directions above) if you need directions from another stop, just let us know.

Follow the signs for the town centre; in Scarborough follow the signs for the castle. On Castle Road, as you approach the castle turn left at the Albion public house. The Wharncliffe is approximately 500 metres on the left.
If you wish to use SatNav or other computer programme for directions, you may find that you need to enter Blenheim Street.
Parking
Much of the on street parking in Scarborough is zoned permit parking. Blenheim Terrace is within zone A2 (parking is permitted in any parking space within the zone) A2 is an extensive zone and covers many of the streets adjoining Blenheim Terrace. Parking permits for the duration of your stay may be collected from 10 a.m. on the day of arrival.
