Breakfast - High 5*
The breakfast menu is well presented on the tables. A choice of juices and prepared fruits, yogurts and cereals. The cooked breakfast is a speciality of the house and uses dry cured Yorkshire bacon and local produce wherever possible. A daily list indicates the different fruits that have been prepared, including local rhubarb. A vegetarian option is available and lighter alternatives. Consideration has been given to different types of milk and guests are encouraged to request this. Also decaffeinated tea and coffee and other alternatives are offered.
Items taken, juice, prepared fruit and yogurt. Bacon, mushrooms and poached egg. Brown toast and fruit tea.
Breakfast quality was excellent, full of taste, mushrooms were served whole, again tasty and freshly cooked. Egg was poached well, good shape and the white was solid, but not over cooked and the yolk soft and full of colour.
The dining room has been well decorated and the sideboard enhances presentation of the buffet items. Tables are well placed allowing guests to have their own space. Area is well lit with comfortable levels of heat. Commercial style crockery and cutlery enhances the table arrangement. Fresh cloth, and a cloth serviette. Table enhanced with fresh flowers. Freshly prepared portions of jam, marmalade, butter and alternative is offered.

Highlights
The breakfast starters were a real treat, a large selection of freshly prepared fruit, cereals and other alternatives. The freshly cooked breakfast uses quality ingredients and the extra few minutes wait for the fresh breakfast is certainly worth it.
